The ADAM-6542 adopts WDM technology that increases the information carrying capacity of fiber via multiplex transmit and receive signals at different wavelengths on the single strand cable. The WDM technology is implemented in couples. One site is installed ADAM-6542/W15 which transmit channel is 1550nm and receive channel is 1310nm. The other site is installed ADAM6542/W13 which transmit channel is 1310nm and receive channel is 1550nm. Both transmit and receive channels of ADAM-6542/W15 and ADAM-6542/W13 are multiplexed to a single strand cable. You can save half cabling cost when you use ADAM-6542/W15 and ADAM-6542/W13 instead of your original dual fiber converter.

ADAM-4521: Converter RS-422/485 ke RS-232

The ADAM-4521 is an intelligent RS-422/485 to RS-232 converter specifically designed to connect RS-422/485 devices to an RS-232 network. RS-232 is the most common transmission standard. Although widely available on most computer systems, measurement equipment, PLCs, and industrial devices, its transmission speed, communication distance, and especially networking capability are limited due to unbalanced transmission. The ADAM-4521 addressable converter solves this problem and lets you easily build up an RS-485 network with your RS-232 devices by assigning each one an address for easier communication.

Berbeda dengan ADAM-4520 yang diulas sebelumnya, ADAM-4521 keluaran Advantech ini adalah modul converter RS-422/485 ke RS-232. ADAM-4520: Konverter RS-232 ke RS-422/485

Most industrial computer systems come with standard RS-232 serial ports. Though widely accepted, RS-232 has limited transmission speed, range, and networking capabilities. The RS-422 and RS-485 standards overcome these limitations by using differential voltage lines for data and control signals. The ADAM-4520/4522 converter lets you take advantage of RS-422 and RS-485 on systems originally equipped with RS-232. It transparently converts RS-232 signals into isolated RS-422 or RS-485 signals. You do not need to change your PC's hardware or your software. The ADAM-4520 lets you easily build an industrial grade, long distance communication system with standard PC hardware. It extends the communication distance by 4000 ft. (1200 m) or increases the maximum number of connected nodes by 32.

Di dunia komputer dan industri, sangat umum ditemui komunikasi data via port RS-232 yaitu port serial yang umum tersedia pada semua jenis komputer. Dengan segala kelebihannya, ia juga memiliki batasan dalam segi kecepatan dan jarak transmisi serta kemampuan koneksi jaringannya. Standar port serial lainnya yaitu RS-422 dan RS-485, melepaskan keterbatasan tersebut lewat penggunaan sinyal kontrol dan saluran voltase data yang berbeda, utamanya jika diperlukan komunikasi antar device/mesin dengan posisi dan jarak yang jauh.

DSA-3400 is a small profile, all-in-one Windows® XPE ready network appliance and control box for digital signage applications the Intel® Core Duo processor gives it the power for HDTV decoding and multiple media content processing. This compact, easy-to-implement network appliance enables centralized control, scheduling and delivery of multimedia content through IP/Ethernet networks. Built on x86 platform and XP Embedded OS, it is easy for application development and can be integrated with PDPs (Plasma Display Panel) and LCDs with a multi-vendor networking environment. WLAN features are available as an option for locations where a wiring infrastructure is not available for network connectivity. A TV-tuner option is also available for integrating the TV function into the signage application. DSA-2100A merupakan player interaktif keluaran Advantech yang sangat cocok untuk kebutuhan advertising, presentasi, pembelajaran dan lain-lain. Ukurannya tidak lebih besar dari Kamus Inggris-Indonesia Hasan Sadely yang biasa diperjual belikan di toko-toko buku dan beratnya hanya 1.2 kg. Jenis informasi/content yang dapat ditampilkan oleh DSA-2100A berupa Video, Audio, Image dan Text - semuanya disimpan dalam harddisk 2.5" berkapasitas 40 GB. Update informasi pun dapat dilakukan dengan mudah: via USB, LAN maupun Internet.

Dalam menampilkan informasi DSA-2100A secara umum menyediakan 7 jenis template - ada yang menampilkan Video, Image dan Text secara langsung namun dengan letak yang berbeda, ada yang hanya Video dan Text saja, atau hanya dengan Video atau Image saja. Text yang di-import ke dalam DSA-2100A akan ditampilkan dalam bentuk Scrolling Ticker - bisa diisi dengan berita, prakiraan cuaca, indeks harga saham dan lain-lain.
